Niagara Foundation-Michigan organized its first Annual Dinner of Abrahamic Traditions on February 18th, 2010 at University Quality Inn, in Lansing, MI. More than 80 guests including clergy from churches, synagogues and mosques, academicians from several religious universities, colleges and seminaries, and leaders of many charitable and civic organizations attended the dinner. The theme of the event was "Charity in Abrahamic Traditions", a very important value especially in today's economic challenges and natural disasters.
Rev. John Ross Thompson from University United Methodist Church, Rabbi Michael Zimmerman from Congregation Kehillat Israel and Dr. Abdalmajid Katranji from Islamic Center of East Lansing shared their insights about the theme of the event. Bishop Jonathan D. Keaton, resident bishop of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist Church, and Rev. Bernard Reilly, the Rector of St. Mary Cathedral in Lansing also shared their thoughts and impressions.
